Pete's Grand Putt

Simple scoring for mini golf rounds and tournaments, with live results.

The problem

Pete's Grand Putt, a mini golf course in Grand Marais, needed an easier way to keep score. Younger players struggled to add scores hole by hole, while tournaments slowed down as organizers manually tallied handwritten scorecards to determine a winner.

What we made

  • An iOS app for simple, hole-by-hole score entry
  • Group scorecards that automatically calculate totals
  • Live tournament leaderboards that update as scorecards are submitted
  • Admin tools to manage tournaments, course hours, and announcements

What mattered

The app started by making everyday scoring easier, especially for younger players. After the first Grand Invitational, we expanded it to solve another problem: tournament results. Organizers can now see team totals as they come in and determine a winner without manually tallying scorecards.
